the Sewn Launch Blog Party - Another Giveaway!

SEWN

you didn't think i'd post about the big Sewn Blog Party Giveaways without doing a giveaway, did you?

now honestly, i have to say, it's been a little bit giveaway overload lately, what with the SewMamaSew Giveaway that i just did, but i couldn't resist the chance to spread the word about Sewn! i'm super excited to see what it's like, and it's really exciting that it's Australia based - there is some seriously cool shit coming from down there! (do you love MixTape zine as much as i do? what about MeetMeAtMikes? see, cool shit!)

you may have noticed that i've been a bit obsessed with vintage sheets lately,so that's what my giveaway will be.

pink pink pink!

6 Fat Quarters of Vintage Sheets, all in a pink hue

side view

all bundled up pretty

pretty, huh?

i'm going to do this pretty similar to the last giveaway, just a few little changes.

once again, comment on this post with an actual comment, constructive criticism, love, suggestions for vinyl applique images, suggestions for a new blog name (i keep deciding that i hate it!), tutorials you'd like to see, whatever! just something more than just "pick me!", kay? make sure i have a way to contact you, or i'll have to pick someone else if you win!

you can get extra entries by tweeting about the giveaway and by blogging about it. please post separate comments (with links!) for each of these, so that i make sure to count the extra entries!

you can also get up to 3 more entries by commenting on other posts here at glitter, vinyl and thread. no need to post more comments for these, i'll see them as they come in. (1 entry per comment, if that's not clear)

and you can get 1 more entry by following my blog (current followers get it automatically!)

that's a total of 7 possible entries!!

the giveaway will be open from now until 11:30pm pacific time on Monday June 8th, giving you lots of time to enter! the giveaway is open to everyone, regardless of where you live. to figure out what 11:30pm Pacific Time means where you are, this link will help.

I think your name is fine and unique and I personally like that your site is not muddled up with lots of additional eye candy that makes your content hard to see! THanks for a chance to win those lucious pink fabrics!

There are some super cute owl images out these days you might use for applique.
Twisted Sister comes to mind for a new blog name...don't know why....:P
ENter me for all the pink goodness!

Susan Cahill said...

I think the owl images are great, when I was a kid my Mom collected everything owls, fabric, prints, ceramics, we had a house bursting with owls! So when I see yours I go right back to the 1970's, it is amazing how everything cycles around and around.

For me the vintage fabric really speaks, I would lov eto get my hands on your lovlies.

I would love to win our fabric! I currently don't own any vintage fabric and I have to say I am just smitten for that little pile of pink you have there! I have seen so many quilts made from vintage sheets I just had to have a go at winning some of yours. :)

Hi! I happen to like your name, it's edgy. Plus it reminds me of the Wizard of Oz: Glitter and vinyl and thread, oh my! Thanks for the giveaway, I love anything vintage.

I LOVE these vintage pinks. They'd be perfect for a baby quilt I have in mind. I almost feel guilty for entering the drawing, having just discovered your blog, but obviously not guilty enough to keep me from entering.

I've just spent a very enjoyable half hour or so reading back through many of your previous posts. Your pictures are really well done, very professional looking without the distracting background stuff that often is seen in other pics. Also I like your tutorials (I saved the one about the pillowcase apron). Your instructions are written very clearly.

I signed up to be a follower and will look forward to reading future posts.

I actually like the name of your blog. I don't think you need to change it at all.

My daughter absolutely loves pink. It would be fun sewing some things for her with the fabric.

Will have to come back and read more of your posts later! :)

Party time and presents. We know how to party in Australia, and yes we do have some cool stuff downunder.

This is the first time I have ever seen your blog, but I think just having the basics on how to do patchwork is a great idea. I just got back into patchwork after a long break, and things have changed so much, so I know it would have been useful to me and hopefully to others. Anyway, thanks for your giveaway... Now lets party...

Hey Amy. Well I see that you are another one of the lucky ones, who seem to find these fabulous vintage sheets and fabrics. I'm never so lucky...unless, I win! I like your apron tutorial...very cute!

I've been rethinking my blog name, too, without much luck. (My blog is still fairly new and desperately needs a new header, too). I actually like the name of your blog. Are you trying to change it because it's long?

These vintage sheets are darling. I made a comment in a post below about a little excursion I made a couple days ago inspired by you and your vintage sheets.
